Aaron Hurst

Founding Partner

Aaron is the Founding General Partner of Dogwood Ventures. He saw the opportunity to create a new founder-centric venture firm in Atlanta based on his experience starting Endeavor Atlanta, the southeast affiliate of the global Endeavor entrepreneur network. While leading Endeavor, Aaron and his team had the privilege of partnering with many outlier founders and their companies, including OneTrust, Flock Safety, SalesLoft, Finquery (formerly LeaseQuery) and Fleetio among many others. He also brings significant B2B software experience to Dogwood through various leadership roles at Dayforce (formerly Ceridian), Symphony AI (formerly Aldata) and Manhattan Associates. He’s worn most hats in the software world including sales, product, implementation and customer success. The seed for starting a fund was planted years ago while Aaron was a Venture Fellow at IDEA Fund Partners during his MBA.

Aaron earned his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flager as a Dean’s Scholar and his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech. He’s the proud father of Thomas, Charlotte and Oscar and copilot in life with his wife Erin. He loves cooking, golfing, playing guitar with his band the Rusty Cars, and watching anything with a score.
